Sodablasting is a fast and gentle method of removing paint. Sodablasting does not damage glass, rubber or plastic and due to this fact, sodablasting requires a minimal need for shielding.

Sodablasting removes varnish from wooden furniture. Sodablasting cleans paint from glass surfaces or window frames without damaging the glass or rubber seals. Sodablasting is gentle and environmentally friendly.
1. Wear protective equipment: respiratory protection, eye protection, ear protection and gloves during blasting.
2. Place the spear directly into the dry sodablasting media. Wet or moist soda can clog the device and cause a malfunction.
3. Connect the Sodablasting Gun to the compressed air line system
4. Press the trigger (A) fully and find the correct flow of soda by adjusting the valve (B)
5. Start with testing the effect by blowing on a less visible part of the work piece.
6. Improve the overall performance by adjusting the pressure and the distance
7. When finished clean off soda dust e.g. with a blowgun or by vacuuming. If you are going to paint your work piece after the blasting, it is a good idea to clean it thoroughly before painting.
Soda is not just soda. In order to achieve the desired effect, it is important that the soda have the proper grain size and composition.
JWL “Soda Blasting Media” is soda (Natriumbicarbonat) specially intended for blasting with sodablasters. JWL Soda Blasting Media is available in both 5 L containers and 25 kg bags.
